A full session of asanas working with the Sun (Ha) in Libra - clearing pent up adrenal energy from the adrenal glands, releasing fear from the kidneys, strengthening the core muscles to feel safe and secure, supporting the lower back. The Moon (Tha) in Virgo works with the sympathetic nervous system to soothe and curb the fight or flight instinct and releasing from the large and small intestines and the lower digestive tract, encouraging us to move forward. The Moon will be new in Libra, further encouraging us to find our inner balance and prepare for new beginnings. Finally, the Moon in Scorpio works with the hidden areas we don't want to look at, encouraging us to bring the corresponding feelings into the light to heal. We'll use Nadi Shodana breathing to balance and Agni Sara to cleanse, clear and strengthen. We finish with a relaxing meditation and visualisation.

Focus for the Sun in Libra is on the lower back (lumbar region) where we may have issues due to insecurity. We work by strengthen the core muscles in the abdomen as when we're strong in our whole being. Also, Libra rules the adrenal glands, where adrenaline and the start of the stress response come from, and the kidneys, which respond to fear. Libra also encourages us to find our inner balance, as we enter the darkness of winter. Working with the Moon in Gemini we use the shoulders, arms and hands, releasing tension and using them to help in other ways, especially in the lungs to help us breathe fully. Also, grounding and releasing from the central nervous system and the nerves. For the Moon in Cancer, its home, we work with the feminine, nurturing, watery areas (whether we're male or female) of the breasts, the stomach, the womb (if we have one), the digestive system. Gemini works with the upper ribs and Cancer the lower ribs. Then, for the Moon in Leo, we work with the heart, the spine, the spleen and the upper back. We always practise some pranayama, a balance and take the spine in all its planes of direction and finish with a relaxing meditation and visualisation.
