Sun in Capricorn | Moon in Aquarius, Pisces & Aries

The Sun (Ha) is in Capricorn, an earth sign, ruled by Saturn, corresponding to our deep core spiritual beliefs that hold us up. Capricorn also rules the joints, which is about our flexibility, particularly emotionally. We start with the Moon (Tha) in Aquarius, which rules our circulatory system, how we spread the love. Working next with the Moon in Pisces, which rules the feet and the immune system. Staying grounded is so important at this time and keeping our immune system healthy too. Lastly, the moon moves into Aries where we start at the beginning again, working with the head, the mind and muscles, working together to help mind, body and spirit reintegrate.

Sun in Capricorn | Moon in Libra, Scorpio & Sagittarius

Capricorn rules the bones, our skeletal frame that is our structure, corresponding to our deep core spiritual beliefs that hold us up. Capricorn also rules the joints, where the bones meet, which is about our flexibility, particularly emotionally. The Moon (Tha) begins in Libra, where we find our inner balance before we transform, and release, finding our core strength to support the lower back and stay grounded. Then moving into Scorpio, digging deep into those hidden areas that we don't want to look at or can't see. Lastly, the Moon moves into fiery Sagittarius, releasing from the liver, allowing us to move forward to the new moon in Capricorn next week.

Sun in Capricorn | Moon in Gemini, Cancer, Leo & Virgo

A full but gentle session starting with lying down and connecting with the breath, easing into floor asanas, a grounded sun salutation, pranayama and asanas to extend, balance, twist, side bend and inversion. Finishing with a relaxing, elemental meditation and visualisation. The Sun (Ha) is now in Capricorn, an earth sign, ruled by Saturn. Saturn is about structure and Capricorn rules the bones, our skeletal frame that is our structure, corresponding to our deep core spiritual beliefs that hold us up. Capricorn also rules the joints, where the bones meet, especially the knees, which is about our flexibility, particularly emotionally. Capricorn's symbol is the goat, but with a fish's tail, so more sensitive than realised. All yoga is good for the bones and joints but we have our awareness being mindful of them particularly here. We start with the Moon (Tha) in Gemini, which rules the arms, shoulders, lungs, central nervous system and nerves. We then move to the Moon in Cancer, to prepare for the full moon, working with the stomach, digestive system and womb, to self-nurture. We do some work with the Moon in Leo, for the heart, upper back, spine and spleen. Finally come to the Moon in Virgo, working with the large and small intestines and the sympathetic nervous system. We always work with being grounded but particularly in this session.

Yoga Nidra for the Solstice/Christmas

Solstice, meaning 'sun still', when the Sun is on the Tropic of Capricorn, the furthest point from us, where it stays for three days until the light returns at Christmas, the sun moving back towards the equator, bringing longer days. The Sun enters Capricorn at this time. It is the time to find your light and hope in the darkness. Also, Jupiter and Saturn are conjunct in Aquarius promising change... Be the change you want to see in the world... This Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) allows you to rest and recuperate either in preparation for Christmas or after Christmas. It is deep relaxation and allows you to reprogram, to tune into your subconscious, to find you and set your hope and dreams for the coming year. Sun in Sagittarius | Moon in Capricorn, Aquarius & Pisces

A full session starting with lying down and connecting with the breath, easing into floor asanas, a grounded sun salutation, pranayama and asanas to extend, balance, twist, side bend and inversion. Finishing with a relaxing, elemental meditation and visualisation. The last session this cycle working with the Sun (Ha) in Sagittarius, a fire sign that now gives us the energy to travel and move forwards, especially after the new moon, whether that be inwardly and spiritually or outwardly and physically. Sagittarius rules the hips, which decide our direction, the thighs that give us the power to move, the femur which is the structure that holds us together to move, the pelvis and sacral region where we store a lot of energy or trauma that is released when we open the hips and, finally, the liver, reached through the inner thigh from where we release toxins. Starting with the Moon (Tha) in Capricorn, this works with our skeletal frame, our structure that holds us together, our bones, which represent our deep core spiritual beliefs and our flexibility in our joints, especially the knees. Then the moon moves into Aquarius, which rules our vulnerable shins and Achilles heel, the calves and ankles plus our circulatory system, how we spread the love. Lastly, working with the Moon in Pisces, which rules the feet and the immune system. Staying grounded is so important at this time and keeping our immune system healthy too.

A session of Yoga Nidra with a grounded Sun Salutation to stretch and release and Nadi Shodana breathing to balance and prepare. Following the new moon in Scorpio, it is a time of new beginnings and transformation, to find your inner light in the darkness and focus on where you want to life to head towards. A Yoga Nidra session can help us to relax, reprogramme our subconscious, tune into ourselves and subtly feel refreshed and positive.

Sun in Libra & Scorpio | Moon in Capricorn, Aquarius & Pisces

A full session starting with lying down and connecting with the breath, easing into floor asanas, a grounded sun salutation, pranayama and asanas to extend, balance, twist, side bend and inversion. Finishing with a relaxing meditation and visualisation. Working with the adrenal glands, kidneys, lower back and balance for the Sun (Ha) in Libra and then moving into the Sun in Scorpio, a water sign that encourages us to go within and look at our deep dark, hidden areas we don't want to talk about and so bring them to the light, preparing ourselves to go within in the darker, longer days of winter. So, working with the bladder, the urinary tract, the prostate gland, the genitals, the cervix, the reproductive organs and the nose, that others can see but we can't. For the Moon (Tha) initially in Capricorn, we work with our structure, our skeletal frame that holds us together, the bones, the joints, particularly the knees. We may feel things emotionally in our bones. The Moon then moves into Aquarius bringing us to the vulnerable shins and Achilles heel, the ankles, that hold us up and support, and the circulatory system, how we pump blood (or love) from our hearts around the body (the world). Finally, the Moon moves into Pisces which rules the feet and the immune system, keeping grounded with our feet on the ground and giving ourselves a boost.

Sun in Virgo | Moon in Sagittarius & Capricorn

A full yoga session working with the Sun (Ha) in in Virgo - releasing from the large and small intestines plus working with the sympathetic nervous system to feel calm. Also, the Moon (Tha) in Sagittarius to open the hips and release stuck emotions and trauma, strengthening the thighs and femur to move us forward and releasing anger from the liver. The Moon in Capricorn strengthens our bones, our skeletal frame representing our deep core spiritual beliefs, and aids flexibility and strength in our joints, particularly our knees. Starting with relaxation and pranayama breathing exercises, building up to a grounded sun salutation and postures and finishing with a relaxing meditation and visualisation.

A full session with relaxation and gentle stretching to start, Agne Darcy pranayama, a gentle sun salutation and postures/asanas, done mindfully and closing with a relaxing meditation and visualisation. Sun (Ha) in Leo works with the spine, heart, upper back, aorta and spleen. Moon (Tha) in Sagittarius works with the hips, thighs, femur, liver, sacral area and pelvis. Moon in Capricorn works with the skeletal frame, the bones and joints, particularly the knees. Moon in Aquarius works with the lower leg, the ankles, Achilles heel and circulation.

Also working with the Moon (Tha) in Capricorn, so the bones, knees and joints, plus moving into the Moon in Aquarius, working with the ankles, Achilles heel, the shins and calves and finally the Moon in Pisces, ruling the feet and the immune system. Stretching and releasing with pranayama, a gentle sun salutation, postures and closing with a guided meditation and relaxation.
