Sun in Sagittarius | Moon in Aries, Taurus & Gemini

A full session starting with lying down and connecting with the breath, easing into floor asanas, a grounded sun salutation, pranayama and asanas to extend, balance, twist, side bend and inversion. Finishing with a relaxing, elemental meditation and visualisation. Working with the Sun (Ha) in Sagittarius, a fire sign that now gives us the energy to travel and move forwards after the introspection of Scorpio, whether that be inwardly and spiritually or outwardly physically. Sagittarius rules the hips, which decide our direction, the thighs that give us the power to move, the femur which is the structure that holds us together to move, the pelvis and sacral region where we store a lot of energy or trauma that is released when we open the hips and, finally, the liver, reached through the inner thigh from where we release toxins. The Moon (Tha) is first of all in Aries, working with the head, brain, eyes and muscles. Interestingly, in the mind, body, spirit connection, the muscles correspond to the mind, meaning it is all over the body. If you relax your mind, it relaxes your muscles and vice versa. The Moon then goes into Taurus when we work with the areas Taurus rules - the neck that carries so much vital information, the throat, the lower jaw, the chin, the tongue, the tonsils, the larynx and vocal cords and the thyroid gland. Lastly, the Moon moves into Gemini to prepare for the full moon on Monday. Gemini rules the shoulders, arms, hands, fingers, the central nervous system, the nerves and the lungs, from where we let go. We work here to release tension as we shoulder our responsibilities, staying grounded and so finding ways to combat fatigue as things build emotionally.

Following the new moon in Scorpio, it is a time of new beginnings and transformation, to find your inner light in the darkness and focus on where you want to life to head towards. Sun in Scorpio | Moon in Libra, Scorpio & Sagittarius

A full session starting with lying down and connecting with the breath, easing into floor asanas, a grounded sun salutation, pranayama and asanas to extend, balance, twist, side bend and inversion. Finishing with a relaxing, elemental meditation and visualisation. Working with the Sun (Ha) in Scorpio, a water sign that encourages us to go within and look at our deep dark, hidden areas we don't want to talk about and so bring them to the light, preparing ourselves to go within in the darker, longer days of winter. So, working with the bladder, the urinary tract, the prostate gland, the genitals, the cervix, the reproductive organs and the nose, that others can see but we can't. This session stays close to the ground, apart from the balance, as we move into the darker days and go within, to find ourselves and transform but staying safe and grounded. Working towards the new moon to find the dark areas within but finding out inner light, so allowing ourselves to transform and begin afresh. The Moon (Tha) is first in Libra, an air sign, where we find our inner balance before we transform, and release fear from the adrenal glands and kidneys, finding our core strength to support the lower back and stay grounded. The Moon then moves into Scorpio for the new moon, when the inner and outer come together. Lastly, the Moon moves into fiery Sagittarius, so we can move forward emotionally with the hips guiding our direction, the thighs and femur giving us the structure and power, releasing from the pelvis and sacral area and releasing toxins from the liver.

Sun in Scorpio | Moon in Cancer, Leo & Virgo

A full session starting with lying down and connecting with the breath, easing into floor asanas, a grounded sun salutation, pranayama and asanas to extend, balance, twist, side bend and inversion. Finishing with a relaxing meditation and visualisation. This session stays close to the ground as we move into the darker days and go within, to find ourselves and transform but staying safe and grounded. The Moon (Tha) is first of all in Cancer, also a water sign, feminine and nurturing and is about those areas that allow us to nurture ourselves - the breasts, stomach, womb, the digestive system and, some say, the pancreas. The Moon then moves into Leo, which rules the heart, the spine, the upper back and the spleen and awakens the fire within us. Lastly, the Moon moves into Virgo that rules the large and small intestines, the bowel and lower digestive tract plus the sympathetic (flight or fight) and parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous systems; its earth encouraging us to stay grounded and breathe to stay calm and release all that no longer works for us.
